Michigan artist Kerry Krueger realized at an early age he wanted to pursue a career in art. He began his career at the age of ten by drawing comic strips. Realizing that her son had a natural talent for drawing, Kerry's mother persuaded renowned art teacher Muriel Boelter to give her young son art lessons. Under Boelter, the young Krueger quickly learned the techniques of painting on canvas.  After teaching all she could, Mrs. Boelter suggested Krueger further his study under the tutelage of Mr. George Woodcock at the prestigious Bentley Gallery. There, he excelled in paintings of rural scenes, especially barns. He sold his first painting at the age of fifteen for the hefty price of thirty-five dollars.  It was not long before Krueger's art work was drawing the attention of local art patrons.

After a stint in the U.S. Navy, Krueger returned to civilian life and reconnected with his passion for art. His talent and abilities drew the attention of the Ford Motor Company who employed the artist to render a mural of their newest product line in the lobby of one of their manufacturing plants. The work was featured in a Ford employee newsletter and received media attention.

Not satisfied to work entirely in oil on canvas, the artist became interested in the popular medium of air brushing.  To perfect his technique, he traveled to Anaheim, California, to learn from airbrushing guru Craig Frasier at Coast Airbrush. To date, Mr. Krueger has created extensive original work, some of which are featured on this web page. His talent is in great demand by his co-workers and art enthusiasts across the country.

Murals, portraits, landscapes, abstracts on metal and canvas are among his many specialties. Contact Mr. Krueger at Artillusions for a personal consultation.
